About The International Assemblies of God Fellowship

The “International Assemblies of God Fellowship ” is relatively new in the overall scheme of things, yet at the same time, historically grounded in the great outpouring of the early 20th century through its members and affiliations.

After the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the early part of the 20th century, many groups began to form alliances. Some of these alliances eventually turned into denominations and others merged to form independent groups. This continued for the next several decades, eventually establishing much of what we have and know today in regards to denominations and such. There are some denominations that are of such size, they would have you believe that they represent the entire Pentecostal faith at large. This of course is not true, for they are only one of the many different streams that flow into this mighty river of blessing.

Over the years, many changes have taken place in these denominations and so-called “fellowships”. Most (if not all) of these changes have resulted in more and more bureaucracy which only strangles ministry instead of liberating it. They have placed unscriptural standards upon those “they” would qualify for credentials, and in essence created an “elite class” of clergy who pride themselves on their affiliations and accomplishments.

Independent associations have not faired any better. Many have grown stagnant and have embedded leadership that can no longer maintain the “vision” that once guided them, resulting in nothing more than a mere mechanical institution issuing a piece of paper… which makes them nothing more than a "Credential Mill".

There are even others whose primary existence is for no other purpose than to support an evangelist, pastor or even a local church or ministry. The fees and tithes collected allow them to extend their personal ministry (or bank account), while offering nothing to the credential holder. Many of these organizations have been found to fill it's membership with some very shady individuals, including but not limited to homosexuals, child predators, and worse. Having grown tired of the bureaucratic and selective processes of denominations, as well as the lack of support, fellowship and benefits of independent associations ; members of both denominational and independent associations met together in order to “birth” a new fellowship. One that would be more than just a mechanical institute issuing yearly papers to those called to preach.

Through much prayer and guidance by the Holy Spirit, we would begin by crafting a vision and mission statement to keep us focused on what we are about. We have learned a lot from the mistakes that have been made by others in the past, and do not dwell there, but look ahead to what God has in store for us. We know that as we keep him first and foremost in all that we do, we can’t go wrong. To that end we are determined to provide our members the very best in fellowship, support and assistance.

Whether you are an individual who has recently been called into ministry or one that has been around for many years, you will find a warm, caring and compassionate welcome here. We extend an invitation for you to come and join with us as we proclaim the “Good News” to those who are lost.
